Device OS 6.3.0 introduced extended publish using the CloudEvent API supporting larger events up to 16,384 bytes. Can Boron BRN402 devices with older modem firmware take full advantage? Does the 782 byte limit only apply the older publish API?
From the docs:
Additionally, some older Boron and B-Series SoM with a SARA-R410M-02B modem (LTE Cat M1) may have a limit of 782 bytes instead of 1024 bytes, see Particle.maxEventDataSize() for more information.
Unfortunately large publish will not be possible on Boron and B-SoM with older SARA-R410M-02-B versions that do not support 1024 byte publish.
The docs will be updated with this warning.
There is a possibility that support could be added in a future version of Device OS.
