Photon not running code, main LED flashing dimly every 5s

Trying to Setup Older Photon (~2015)

Have a photon from ~2015 that I never setup, attempted to do so today. Seemed to go OK, was able to connect to wifi and see the device in the build IDE and console. Couldn’t flash code (timed out) so did a manual firmware update to 0.7.0. Now I’m stuck, still can’t flash any code and photon goes right to safe mode. @ScruffR and @Moors7 gave some good advice. I forgot about the Safe Mode option, it might also do the trick. Sorry, running around this morning but will look more as soon as I have a moment.
