PCB - Trace width and pads

Implemented all your suggestions

EDIT - Confused why my vias no longer connect to ground planes now…have to look at it later. Guess because it’s set to clearance from any objects.

looks good! ya, sorry I cannot help you with that part as I dont use that software for PCB.

It should be an easy fix

Thanks again for all your help.

A stupid question perhaps - I’m preparing my Bill of Material, but one thing is unclear to me:

How does the PCB manufacturer know how to place the parts?

e.g. say I have that part with 6 solder pads posted previously in this topic. What is stopping the PCB manufacturing from placing it upside down, making bad connections and ruining the PCBs? Is there information in the Gerber files (e.g. library data) that tells them how they should solder it? The PCBA service I’m using only asks for the part number, designator and quantity - there’s no orientation information that can be inputted.

It's called a "Pick and Place file". Also when you make a part you should have a circle, or dot to show where pin 1 is at on the part for the silk screen.

Yeah I checked this with the manufacturer - they go with indicators (circle, lines, or anything else that makes it assymetrical) to determine it. And if they are unsure, they will contact whoever placed the order to verify.

I was confused as I saw some BOMs before for other manufacturers that in fact did require you to input the orientation (in degrees).
