Hey, are there any provisions made on the Particle M1 enclosure if there was a need to add a camera?
Would Tachyon heat be an issue here inside this M1 enclosure?
Thanks!

Hi @gusgonnet,
I assume you're looking to use an external camera with the Tachyon? If so, we designed the system with the available M20 cable glands in mind for routing signals outside the M1 enclosure.
I'm currently working on a Muon + M1 enclosure application and I know users have had good success using the supplied glands. However, if the supplied glands don't work for your specific needs, you can use any other M20 panel mounted gland that fits your requirements. For example, I'm routing USB C outside of the enclosure for debug and charging purposes, similar to a Tracker One, and ended up replacing the supplied gland with an M20 Female to Male Panel Mount. I haven't received it yet, so I'll update you if you're interested in how it works out.
Regarding thermal management, the Quectel chip in the Tachyon was originally designed for mobile phones, so it's built to handle heat without requiring active cooling like fans. That said, the degree of thermal throttling will depend on your specific use case, particularly whether the enclosure will be exposed to direct sunlight. For what it's worth, we've seen customers deploy Monitor One in direct sunlight and other non-ideal thermal conditions without running into major issues.
Excellent info, Erik, thank you!
I appreciate the extra tip on the way to extend usc-c outside the enclosure.
I have two options arriving this weekend, I’ll let you know which one works the best
It seems to be working as expected, fitment is great! The other option probably could have worked, but this is much better.
Looks good, thanks for the shots!
