How to output music received by Photon from WiFi stream

I want Photon to receiver a music stream by Wifi, and then play it through a shield.

Is Photon compatible with this shield: "Adafruit “Music Maker” MP3 Shield for Arduino w/3W Stereo Amp " ?

Or is there another way to playback over speakers?
