GxEPD2 Display Library for E-Paper Displays - compatible with new displays not listed in particle example?

Hi,
I have a couple GooDisplay epaper displays that work wonderfully with GxEPD2. They were listed in the particle specific example file though (now 6+ years old). My question.. is it a simple matter like some copy / pasting from the main GxEPD2 example files to use one of the newer displays with a particle device?
