This is a really well done project share. Very thorough with lots of examples and diagrams. I don’t own any Android hardware, but I definitely like how you wrote your own Android app and integrated it with other Android apps.

Great job on the project!
You mentioned the problem with reed sensors. I’d also add that wiring them is pain.
I’m working on similar product and although I too like magnets I like lasers even more.
