Electron with poor cell reception - does that increase Data usage?

I’m working on an Electron in my basement… the reception is spotty, so it goes to blinking green quite a bit.

My question is whether I’m using up more data that necessary because of that frequent re-connecting.

I’ve only had it going for about 1.5 days, and I’m already at 0.17MB usage. I’m publishing a fairly small message every 5 mins.

Thanks!

My understanding is that unless the Electron resets or sleeps, the same connection information will be used to resume the session and minimal data will be used to reconnect to the :cloud:.

@BDub should have a more detailed explanation.

This is my experience as well. Spent hours trying to connect little data used.
