Electron as proximity sensor

Hi everyone,
I’m approaching in these days this new platform, specifically the Electron and its 3G capabilities.

My idea is to create something like a proximity sensor for using it in a prototype. Is it possible to capture each phone signal and strength in order to evaluate a possible distance from the Electron?

That depends on various factors like which cell tower that the electron is connected to, antenna type and strength of the signal etc.

Wanting to know the distance might fall into a GPS thing :slight_smile:

@PraeLab, you can’t monitor other phones with the Electron.
