Connection of PIR in Maker kit

I am trying to use the PIR in the Photon Maker Kit, but it seems that it is different from the one shown in the video - there is an additional capacitor in the corner underneath the board so it cannot plug into the breadboard. The kit has a 40 way male to female 20cm long multicoloured ribbon cable - am I to peel off 3 of these wires and use them to remote mount thePIR sensor?

Yes, you can peel off 3 of the female-to-male jumper wires, or you can orient it like this:

I have peeled off 3 wires and connected it. As you can see, the design has an extra capacitor in the corner which stops it fitting in the breadboard:

Oh, that is different. I haven’t seen that version.
