Can I control L298N 5V motor driver with Photon GPIO?

I have a 5V power supply, 5V DC motor, L298N motor driver board (requires 5V) and a Photon. The L298N and the DC motor are powered from the same power supply.

The L298N also has 3 pins which allow me to control the direction and speed of the motor. Can I connect Photons GPIO pins onto these L298N pins and control the motor or do I need something between my photon and L298N to increase voltage from 3.3V to 5V ?

@superkool, based on the L298N datasheet, the photon should be able to drive the L298N directly since a “HIGH” voltage requires a minimum of 2.3V.
