Boron bricked after first flash with workbench, no longer

NOTE: I can’t seem to post to the troubleshooting catagory.

I had my new boron set up and paired to my account working great! I flashed a blink example from the cloud IDE and that also worked great.

Then I downloaded workbench and tried to flash the example sketch again, after following the instructions to set up local compiling. The boron never connected to a network again, just stuck flashing green.

I ran the test bin and got what is at the bottom of the post:

I have also tried to update the device os, downgrade it back to 2.0.0 (which it shipped with), and every other solution I could find. I unpaired it from my account and then when I have it in listen mode and use the android app I get “Sending bluetooth messages failed.”

I also can’t seem to get it to run in safe mode. It would never stay magenta, just immediately go back to flashing green.

Is there anything I can do? I’m at a total loss and have most of my day invested in this and I don’t particularly look forward to showing my boss my grand total of zero progress today, haha.

I can see that it seems like I have no signal where the unit sits but it literally was working just fine right before I flashed the firmware from the workbench.

HI @itman496 ,

Thanks for posting. If you do not mind, please log a ticket at support.particle.io . We will look at your issue in more detail.

Hey @itman496, curious if you ever got any resolution? I’m currently experiencing a nearly identical scenario, with logs to match. (I also already filed a support ticket).

Hi @itman496 thanks for letting us know. Could you log a ticket at support.particle.io ? Appreciated. So that we can track and investigate your issue in detail, which might be different from that of the thread starter’s.
