Billable Device - Basic Plan

Can someone explain what is counted as a billable device under the Basic Plan? Also, if a device is deactivated, do I still need to remove it from the product if I know it might not be used for an extended period of time, or can I just leave it deactivated?

On the basic and plus plans, once a device is added to an organization product and goes online for the first time, it becomes a billable device.

Deactivating the SIM does not affect the billable device count on basic and plus plans, so you'll have to remove the device and SIM from the product to stop billing on it.
