I can confirm the byte ordering bug with UDP.sendPacket on my Boron running 0.8.0-rc.25. You should open a ticket.
I don’t have any problems with USB power on the Boron. It works fine whether I run if from a USB wall plug (power only) or connect it to the serial port on my laptop. (I mostly use it with the laptop so that I can use Serial.println for debugging)
