Won't boot with any Ethernet connection

Tried to use the dual Realtek R8125 PCIe Hat and a USB ethernet dongle, PCI hat doesn't let the Tachyon boot at all (fast flashing green) and the USB ethernet adapter doesn't get an IP, wifi connection is super flaky...connects, disconnects. Can someone tell me if this thing absolutely depends on a cell connection? Because I don't want/need it. I just want to be able to connect it hardwired to my network. I'm starting to think I shouldn't have gotten this board for what I want to do with it. Also this forum seems to be mostly shouting into the void. There is no one from Particle actively participating in answering questions, at least very infrequently.

Hey @raenrfm can you let us know which software build you’re using to test ethernet? How are you powering the device when it is having trouble booting?

I'm powering with 12volt supply through the barrel connection on my radaxa penta sata hat so through the header pins. I have no drives connected so there is minimal draw on the wall wart I'm using.

Hey raenrfm

Can I check this is the board you are using?

If so, we'll pick one up in China for our office there and test asap.

The networking issues sound nothing like the 5G radio is causing trouble frankly - I am wondering if the network stack is in some bad state.

Do you have a Tachyon debug board to easily output the logs from the kernel? If not, we'll send you one asap - that is the best way to debug the board and easily look at any issues from the log.

Feel free to email nick@particle.io if you want a board - I'll set it up asap internally.

Thanks

Nick

It's an MCUzone dual 2.5Gb PCIe hat. I appreciate the help thanks.

No I don't have a board, but would be willing to give it a try.

Still haven't been able to get this component working. Been checking if anyone else has given it a shot. Would very much appreciate it if you were able to check it out on your end.
