Send json data via php webhook

I am trying to figure out how to create a webhook that would send json data to my own website that would then take that data and add it to mysql. I think I have figured out that I need the webhook to point to a php file on my server and then the php server file will add the data to mysql database. Is this the correct approach? Does someone have an example that I might use as a guide to set this up? I have the webserver, database and website functioning. I just need to make the link. Thanks.

Hi @theaddies

We have a couple of online guides about Webhooks, have you read this?

Yes, you have the correct approach. Your webhook will send the data packet (in this case your JSON formatted data) to a .php file on your web server. That program will unpack the payload, make the connection to your MySQL and INSERT the fields as needed. It is all very straightforward and simple to implement. Good luck.

Great. Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it.
