I’m having a hard time understanding why particle needs to know about my customers. If i plan to manage all interactions with the hardware via my web app and mobile app I can implement the security layer there.
Are people doing this? (Where all photons are owned by one “customer”)
Is there a drawback?
Particle doesn’t need to know about your customers. There are different models available, and shadow customers is one of them. You can implement everything yourself, should you desire to do so. Having them in the console makes it easier to manage them though, so there’s that to consider, but given time/expertise, you could implement that yourself as well.
