Photon 2 particle serial monitor buffering?

Hi,

I have a Photon 2 with DeviceOS 5.8.2 connected to my Mac via serial, and running

particle serial monitor --follow

at some point, the logs start to slow down, it looks like a typewriter effect: you can see char after char being printed on screen. (Old school!)
Soon enough, the logs being printed on screen have the timestamps of one minute ago, I even saw logs being printed from five minutes ago.
If I CTRL + C, the logs continue to be dumped until the timestamps matches the time I sent the CTRL + C sequence.
If I reset the device, the logs stop immediately.

Has anyone seen this in a Photon 2? It never happened to me with Borons or Argons as far as I remember.

Thanks,
Gustavo.

It's not an issue that I'm aware of, but it does seem suspicious.

I've seem something similar, but it usually showed up as pausing the log when I know things should've been printed, and then dumping a ton of lines to catch up to the current timestamp. I had been assuming it was terminal weirdness and not actually the Photon 2.
