Particle is looking for an Digital Marketing Manager, eCommerce to drive the growth of our retail store and online customer base. This person will be responsible for the health and engagement of the Particle flagship online retail experience, driving success in meeting our retail revenue goals.

The Particle community is 150,000 strong and growing, with strong product and brand loyalty. The vast majority of our customer get started with Particle by purchasing one of our development kits, which we sell in our retail store as well as 100+ distribution partners around the World. Because Particle’s products are technical in nature and include hardware as well as supporting software services like our Device Cloud and data service, our retail store does a lot of jobs for the company:

  • Generating revenue by facilitating a silky smooth checkout experience for new and existing customers
  • Informing customers with information about our development kits as well as relevant context on how to scale their project with Particle
  • Engaging customers with new product introductions designed to help our customers explore our platform and deepen their engagement with our product

This role will be the primary owner and operator of our online store, helping our team to build an optimized store experience based on customer needs while bringing new customers to the Particle store. The Digital Marketing Manager, eCommerce should have strong problem solving skills, innovative and analytical thinking, and plenty of hustle to successfully reach the engagement and revenue goals for the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall strategy and execution for the Particle retail store through marketing channels emails to drive traffic, increase conversion, acquire new customers, and overall increase as revenue-generating channel
  • Support strategic partnerships that increase brand awareness of Particle and create alignment across online marketing channels
  • Build and maintain key reporting for online store engagement and customer data, analyzing performance and identifying trends for optimization
  • Own the overall customer experience in the retail store, identifying opportunities to optimize for buying habits, trends, and innovative features that enhance the customer journey
  • Align with Particle’s distributor partnerships team to maximize eCommerce outcomes
  • Support new product line rollouts by managing store updates, product details, and raising awareness with our customer base in alignment with the larger marketing team
  • Manage new store design and implementations guided by customers insights and eCommerce needs to reach your goals

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience with eCommerce/digital/retail marketing
  • Strong analytical mindset with the skillset to turn data into action
  • Project management and team collaboration - you’ll be coordinating between operations, product, and other teams
  • Track record of evolving, innovating, and executing successful digital marketing campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills – timely follow-up and ability to articulate objectives, strategies, and tactics across various cross-functional teams
  • Experience with retail and inventory platforms (Shopify, Netsuite)
  • Understanding of strategic overview with the ability to be fully hands on
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
