Our technical sales guys are having some issues in North America with cellular devices having poor connectivity. One site they at the device is connected to AT&T with bad sig strength and sig quality in single figures at time. There is a verizon cell very close and great signal strength on verizon at the site.
Is thee a way to force the device to try Verizon?
Why is it stuck on the bad AT&T
BRN402 I think, we also have BRN404 being used as well
The BRN402 cannot connect to Verizon, and it is only available for BRN404 and BRN404X devices in an enterprise plan (not free or basic).
For devices that could connect, there is no way to manually steer the device to a specific carrier, see the Verizon FAQ.
How do the BRN404 decide which carrier to use? Have two on the site 75 yards apart, one on AT&T and one on Verizon? AT&T 33% strength, Verizon 100% strength.
The cellular modem and SIM determine which carrier to use and the algorithm is not explained.
