Need help on how to use blynk

ok… I need a little help here… I am building a large robot. I am having a problem getting the motors to work…So what I want to be able to do is control 2 dc motors threw a sabor tooth 2/24 motor controler. using the particle photon chip and the blynk app via the joystick button. How do I do this do I write code to the photon like I would do with a arduino… I can get some things to work through the blynk app with very little codding at all but this motor controler seems to not work
