Linux kernel source for Tachyon

My Tachyon arrived... Yay! I'd now like to access the source linux kernel source used for the device, in particular the various device tree source to describe the hardware. I looked in the particle-iot github org but couldn't see anything particular there, nor in the docs. Thanks!

Hey nullr0ute and welcome to the forums!

Full transparency - we're still a small bit of work away from publishing the upstream kernel and boot loader support (as well as upgrading to 24.04). Its based on uboot so it should be easy enough to configure.

I'll make sure we post on kickstarter and this community when its out and get back to you - we would love you to provide the feedback as to your needs whilst we are working on it!

Thanks

Nick.

I'm interested in supporting Fedora on the device, that's my primary distro, so a timeframe even if it's rough would be useful, as "small bit of work" doesn't really give me an idea as to when I can start to play

Very reasonable! The answer is that we have a git repo that uses upstream kernel, ubuntu 24.04 and tools that makes a disk image and that the "bit of work" is to make this something easy to support and consume so its very much less "do it" but rather "package it and release it".

My main concern here is making sure expectations are set around its use etc... Saying that, I'll circle back once it's in beta but not yet official and let you in ASAP.

Also, a fedora image would be AWESOME.

Thanks!

Oh I know existing Fedora images will already work on it at least at a basic level

This would also be interesting for me because i want to port NixOS to the Tachyon
