Latest firmware 4.4 issue

my photon updated to the latest v4.4 firmware part of the web id now when i upload a sketch to my photon it just flashes blue so i followed these instructions from another post and i can get my photon back. so now i am using v4.3.

1.) Put the Photon in DFU mode (blinking yellow).
2.) CMD: particle keys save mykey
3.) CMD: particle keys send DEVICE_ID mykey.pub.pem

4.) reset the device (unplug from USB and plug back in)

5.) Perform setup CMD: particle setup

i have just update my firmware to v4.4 and things seem good but i will not update to the latest 4.4.

Any reason why 0.4.4 is working but you do not want to update it?

not really but in the web ide under devices it shows which firmware version you can use as follows:
0.4.1
0.4.2
0.4.3
0.4.4 ( i am using this one)
latest 0.4.4 ( if i use this one i have major issue)
