How to install the spark toolchain in Ubuntu 14.04

Were you able to get Serial.println to work in Ubuntu 14.04 ?
I have tried with :

sudo screen /dev/usb 9600

but I get the error :
Cannot exec ‘/dev/usb’: Permission denied
[screen is terminating]
