The end result is kind of a super simple programmable “smartphone” type device. I’m making this for something I need it for, however, I decided to make the PCB and components as universal as possible so that it could be used for other projects.
It’s a single PCB that accepts a Photon or Electron and the Adafruit 2.8" Touch screen breakout. Either capacitive or resistive. It also accepts a wireless charging coil/IC, haptic feedback motor and piezo. The whole thing is under 1" tall and the same size as the TFT breakout. It includes the LiPo for the electron and a rear facing reset button.
I’m going to 3D print a case for it and write a simple user interface library for displaying menus/buttons etc.
Any suggestions / improvements are welcome!
