we are developing a product for a customer. We are using the p1 and we are very satisfied.
In the future we will need the 3g connection. There is a chip like the P1 to integrate in our pcb?
we don’t want to add an entire electorn… It would change all the pcb layout…

With the Photon, the P0/P1 contain all parts. With the Electron that’ll be much harder due to the larger modem, the separate MCU and other necessary parts. That’s also why the Electron isn’t SMD, since there just wasn’t enough space on one side of the board. I’m not sure you can get it much smaller than it currently is, otherwise they would’ve surely done so.
