Command seems to be missing from workbench

Need help getting Particle Workbench Installed

That command was renamed to Configure Project for Device quite some time ago. Obviously that didn’t punch through to that tutorial tho’ It will definetly be faster than local builds (especially when using Windows) and as long you have internet connectivity and don’t need to tweak the device OS cloud building is a good choice.

I can’t do this either, but that is a whole different issue.

Have you used Particle: Create New Project first

This should provide you with a project structure also featuring a project.properties file.
