Hi there 
I’ve been working locally for a few months now, and this code compiles and flashes locally without any issues. The issues when I try and compile/flash code using particle cloud request in VS code.
I created a new project and added the Neopixel library to make sure that was not an issue. Cloud compiled and flashed perfectly.
I looked at the project.properties file:

Again nothing that jumps out as an issue. I did change from gcc-9 to 10 last week, but I’m not sure how that could create any issues if the local compiler works.

It appears there is an issue with the main ORangeOutlet.ino file from the Output files errors.

When I run the $particle compile argon . command locally it tells me that it can’t find the #include “particle.h” file. Yet in the OrangeOutlet.ino file it appears twice.
I’m going through the file now looking for something that jumps out as an issue but I can’t see anything that would cause problems. The project compiles locally and flashes locally and run on a device without issue, so I’m wondering how VS code is compiling the project.
I’m “assuming” it has to be something I’m doing that the cloud compiler just doesn’t like compared to the local gcc compiler. Is there a way to see the difference between the local compiler on VS code and the Particle Cloud?
I’m going through .particle/toolchains/buildscripts/1.9.2/Makefile that VS code runs when compiling.

This appears to bundle the .ino && library files differently than running the particle compile argon . command. I’m guessing that the cloud runs the particle compile <DEVCIE_TYPE> and not the Make file like VS code. Can someone confirm this is true?
I’m posting this hoping someone has seen this before and can point me in the right direction to speed up debugging. I’ve read through the community forums and will keep trying to figure out why I can’t get this project to compile in teh cloud but have no issues locally.
