BORON with 3rd party sim in Korea

I am trying to use BORON with 3rd party sim card from hologram in Korea.
I was able to activate the sim card and put it into BORON with APN setup.
The sim card is activated but no carrier information is given as here.

I see fast blinking green led but no connection so far.
Is it simply not possible to use 3rd party sim in Korea with BORON?
Has anyone tried this before?
Any comment would be helpful. Thanks.

Which Boron? The Boron 2G/3G or the Boron LTE (Cat M1)?

In addition to setting the APN, did you set the external SIM card slot to be the active SIM?

Getting a Boron Cloud Debug Log may be helpful.

Thank you for comment.
I was using Boron LTE.
I set “electron” for apn setup.
I still not getting the signal.

As above mentioned instruction about cloud debug.
I downloaded boron.bin

particle flash --usb boron.bin

And run serial monitor by

particle serial monitor

In the terminal I see below

Now I see breathing blue light on the board.
I can check connected carrier information about the sim card.

Now I tried to add this device on my particle console however I see no activity after downloading tinker.bin to the board.

Are you sure Korea has LTE Cat M1 coverage on Hologram? This table has the blue, pink, and red dots for South Korea, but does not have the purple-ish one for LTE Cat M1.

The Boron LTE can only connect to LTE Cat M1 networks and cannot connect to 2G, 3G, or regular LTE Cat 1 networks. The Boron 2G/3G is the model recommended for Korea.

Even if there is coverage for LTE Cat M1 I don’t think the SARA-R410M-02-B has profiles for Korea. You could try setting UMNOPROF to 100 (generic European profile) but I don’t think that will work either.

Thanks for helping me out.
If that’s the case, why my other electron board doesn’t have connection either?
Once the simcard activated as LTE then it is not reversible to 3G sim?
