Did you solder the header pins to the accel sensor? It looks like you just pushed them down through the holes down into the breadboard using the short side of the header pins which will not work.
The header pins need to be soldered to the sensor PCB so it looks like this:
No I didn’t solder anything. I simply pushed down the set of headers it came with, through the holes with the short side up. I thought it would work as I used some other electronic pieces like that before
It’s basically like this.
That’s causing the communication problem.
Solder it up and it should work as expected.
You’re always expected to solder up at least the pins you know you’re going to be using for a good electrical connection.
