Unable to update Photon firmware

After being unable to reconnect to my Photon via WiFi, I followed the particle-cli firmware update process. Unfortunately this is what I’m getting in Terminal:

$ particle update

> Your device is ready for a system update.
> This process should take about 50 seconds. Here it goes!

! An error occurred while attempting to update the system firmware of your device:

My Photon is quite “old” and has firmware v 0.4.3 on it, if that’s of any importance.

Any ideas what I should try next?

I’ve managed to overcome the problem by manually installing the .bin files.

I strongly suggest you update Device OS to the latest (1.0.1) if you haven’t already. 0.4.3 is truly ancient.

Yeah :slight_smile: It’s 1.0.1 now.
