Hello,
I hope it is not too offTopic. For a project, I would like to use very small addressable RGB LED’s, such as the ones on my photons. Does anyone know, what types they are or the name I need to search for?
Thanks,
Jens

Neopixels are what you are looking for. They are awesome and libraries already exist.
@jcbmania, the one on the Photo is not addressable. It is simple an RGB LED and each color is controlled via PWM. What you may be looking for is a WS2812b or APA102 addressable LED, also known as Neopixels to Adafruit folks. Have a look here and here.
Have a look at the SK6812 mini, they're pretty small
If you’re looking for the exact LED on the Photon and Electron, it is a Cree LED, and the part number is CLMVB-FKA!
Good luck!
Thanks guys. I will check all your options. I just like the small form factor. Even if not addressable.
Again,
Thanks
