I have no SmartThing devices.

I am interested to operate a Proton such that it still works without the spark cloud. Hence as long as my WLAN is OK my smarthome will still operate even when the internet connection is down. Can I define a REST SmartApp endpoint and then control it from a Proton?
@kkaiser, not sure I understood your requirement correctly, my initial thought define SmartApp endpoint and setup a Particle Webhook to call the endpoint. But for this you need to connect to Internet.
