I have a photon remotely installed in a crowded urban location. It’s receiving serial communication from the load cell and then using a webhook to transmit the weight to a google sheet. Currently, the photon seems to be loosing connection after about 3-4 hr of being connected to the router.
This happened first on Thursday. Today, when I arrived at the site the Photon was breathing blue (meaning it has no wifi connection). When I restarted the photon it connected with no issues. I then implemented a connectivity check into my code to make sure that it was connected to the wifi as well as an IFTTT notification if it disconnects from the cloud. Today, at 5:16 pm, I received a notification from IFTTT that the photon was offline. I then did an OTA update which went through (telling me that the photon was successfully connected). I then received a IFTTT notification that the photon was again offline at 7:45 pm.
I have tried to implement a connectivity check so if the photon is disconnected it will restart and reestablish a connection (as a fail safe). But, this does not seem to be working as expected. I also added code to store the pertinent weight and number of disconnects to the EEPROM before it restarts. Insights into the code would be much appreciated.
