Fried Boron - 3.3 V on Li+?

Hi,

I fried a Boron, and am trying to troubleshoot. Could applying 3.3 V from a voltage regulator to the Li+ pin cause damage? I see that is below the range:

This pin is internally connected to the positive terminal of the LiPo connector. You can connect a single cell LiPo/Lithium Ion or a DC supply source to this pin for powering the Boron. Remember that the input voltage range on this pin is 3.6 to 4.2 VDC.

Thanks,

Eric

The device will not operate properly at 3.3V on Li+, but it won’t damage it. Once you supply the correct voltage again it will resume working.

The high voltage limit is a different situation; applying a sufficiently high voltage can permanently damage the device.
