From my testing the Loop stops running once the CC3000 locks up. I’m not sure if a Pin High will go low once the Spark Core freezes due to CC3000 issues.
See this thread where we tried to reset the Spark Core every 10 mins. The loop quit running when the CC3000 froze up though the reset never happens.
