Interesting findings. Have you filed an issue about the IPAddress behaviour? I can’t confirm your power issue tho’ Can you try to power the device via VUSB and GND - does it work then? Could it be that your USB power is too weak or noisy compared to your laptop?

That Argon USB behavior is odd. I tried an Argon with both a data-block cable (power only) from a USB hub and also a standalone wall outlet charger and it seemed to work normally for me with no data connection.

Oh – forgot to add. particle serial mac returns all 00’s for argon’s it seems.

Yes I have also tried that. My argon cant connect to the cloud. It keeps flashing green really fast and in some flashes it goes red.
