A trick I use for my devices is a common event they all subscribe to. If they see their name in the event then they reboot. Works well when functions don’t show up.

That does sound like a pretty good trick. Have you been able to test it during any of these outages? Do those subscriptions still work when ping and functions don’t?
It has worked when the functions were not published. I didn’t try during these outages, but if devices could still receive messages then it would have worked.
