Hi folks,

I brought this topic to the attention of engineering. They recognized the issue at hand.

The intent is for this issue to be resolved in LTS.

For any who are in need of a shorter term workaround until LTS is released: one can work around this issue by running something like pinMode(%adcpin%, AN_INPUT) outside of ISR context (e.g. in setup() ).
