I am used to a Raspberry Pi and to turn them off your type sudo halt or sudo poweroff. Is there some way of doing the equivalent in the particle build platform or should I just pull the plug?
It’s perfectly save to unplug it. As far as I know, the closest thing to powering down is System.reset(), but it only resets the device.

These devices don’t need a power down procedure - so can just pull the plug.
There are just a few situations where you might want to refrain from doing it, as for example while new firmware is being flashed or your firmware does something that might impact the further stability of it, like during EEPROM writes - but you won’t brick your device (usually ;-))
