Why do libraries not have .ino file?

I want to start with the ASSET TRACKER library.
It will flash and run okay, but it has no .ino file.
The example apps all have .ino file in IDE > Code > “Example apps”

@douglaskbell, the .ino file is an Arduino “thing” and not absolutely necessary. If a .cpp file is used for the example instead, it must contain the setup() and loop() functions, like an .ino file. Which file you use is at the discretion of the programmer. You will find most libraries in the IDE use .ino files for the examples. :grinning:
