Using transistor instead of a relay

Now, is there a way to use a BC337 bipolar transistor to replace a relay connected to the photon?
All I want is to act as a switch if it receive a HIGH.
Close a circuit on HIGH, open circuit on LOW.

@eLumaLite, a description of the circuit you are presently controlling with the relay would help. :wink:
