I have just started with the Photon. I have been making changes to the code with the Web IDE. when i compile and flash the code it tells me it has been loaded. However it is still the previous version when the photon is restarted. what am i missing?
You can check the update process via console.particle.io/events and a successful OTA update should finish with an “app-hash” event.
BTW, did the Photon go through several magenta flashing and reset cycles durnig the process?
You’ll most likely have targeted a more recent device OS version than was on the device to start with and that will typically require an auto-update to the system as well which will take considerably longer than a mere application update.
