I’ve been working on making a remote monitoring system for small pump stations. I designed the PCB for it using 123D Circuits and they’ve featured it on their blog. The software is still a work in progress, but I have a prototype in operation.
wow the board looks awesome!!
Just wondering what’s the USB connector for?
That supplies power to the Sierra Wireless Tri-Fi I’m using for an Internet connection. I got the Tri-Fi in the mail on an extremely cold day last winter and plugged it in to charge it and found out 2 things: it will turn itself on when you plug it up, and if it is too cold it will shut itself back off. The only way to reset it when it shuts off from low temperature is to unplug it and plug it back in once it warms up. Since this is going to be installed in an uninsulated outdoor electrical panel, I added the USB connector and an SSR so if the Core loses connection, it will try to reset the Tri-Fi itself. It also lets me power everything with one power supply.
Awesome board! Very cool!
