Problems with the compile server?

I have been experiencing the following error with the compile server -

compile got error: { [Error: socket hang up] code: ‘ECONNRESET’ }
Compile failed - { [Error: socket hang up] code: ‘ECONNRESET’ }

I have been trying from different machines and most of the time this is the error I get.
Any ideas?

We’re seeing higher than normal error rates from the API right now. I just updated http://status.spark.io/

Continued updates will be posted there.

Its degraded down to the point of being unusable. I can’t get anything to compile now.

Yep. Understood and really sorry. We’re working on it and will get everything back to normal as soon as possible.

Hi @mtnscott,

Sorry about that, can you give it a try now? Things should be back to normal. :slight_smile:

We pushed some code earlier, and then quickly rolled back after noticing some elevated error rates, but it looks like we also needed to rollback some system updates that were included. We normally have a policy of not doing any rollouts on Fridays, but we made an exception to try and get a feature out for a really great project that’s using Spark, but we might have rushed it. Sorry about that!

Thanks,
David

@Dave Thanks, I am able to build now. Much appreciated! Have a great weekend!

@Dave - OK, so not sure what’s going on but it’s broken again. :frowning:

Thanks, we’re on it.

Heya,

So, we’re keeping a close eye on it for the moment, it seems to be happy again, but we’ll get paged / woken up if things go wonky again. Sorry about that!

edit: okay, things still seem normal. Our theory is some ghost processes were sticking around after the code rollout, and our automation didn’t catch em. Should be happy. :slight_smile:

Thanks,
David
