Photon2 temperature

Hi everyone,
is there a way to get an onboard temperature from the Photon2, perhaps from the RTL8721 ?

I believe the last time I looked the RTL872x does not have an on-die temperature sensor. There is no external temperature sensor built into the P2 or Photon 2.
