Hi,

I am getting a burst of quick cyan flashes followed by one or two quick red flashes on my P1 and it will not connect to the WiFi. I have previously had this P1 connected to the cloud and working so I am wondering what has happened?

I have not changed any code since it was last working.

I only have JTAG and WiFi available, not USB.

Thanks,

Have you searched the forum for _red burst_?

That’s usually in connection with corrupted keys and cured with

```auto
particle keys doctor <yourDeviceID>
particle keys server
```

* * *

Sorry, missed the missing USB bit.
That’s something for the hardware guys (@BDub?)

@particlefan2015 if you haven’t run ScruffR’s commands yet, would you please backup your P1 image first and send it to me at ![](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex026/uploads/particle/original/2X/9/9b2ca78b50a8aa9e11422ff629557d5ad8eb3950.png) You just need to put the device in DFU mode and run this command (note the replace with device id part of the filename):

```auto
dfu-util -d 2b04:d008 -a 0 -s 0x8000000:0x100000 -U p1_backup_replace_with_device_id.bin
```

In your email, please link to this thread so I have a history of things 😄

Thanks!

Ahh, I missed that part. Well if you have JTAG... you can connect, and read the image out starting at address 0x8000000 with length/size 0x100000 and save as p1\_backup\_replace\_with\_device\_id.bin then please email to me. If you have a server key issue... I'll test a JTAG way of restoring it.

I have managed to get the code out as hex, I am not sure if I can get the binary. Is this okay? Also, what is your email address?

Thanks!
