Every now and then Bitdefeder on my work PC announces that “Advanced Threat Control” has decided that particledev.exe is malicious. It permits me to run it anyway but its not the most reassuring message to encounter. Submitting the file to virustotal get 2 similar detections from CrowdStrike Falcon & Cylance. All 3 of these would appear to be heuristic threat detection systems being a little overzealous. @suda maybe this is something worth examining at some point before other AV programs get in on the act?
