I dont know why comes up a problem

I want to connect to electron.
I look at community, https://docs.particle.io/reference/cli/.
When i typing “particle setup wifi”, comes up error message.
Error message is
"Something went wrong: [Error : Opening COM3: Access denied]"
Please help me…

The electron is cellular based, there is no wifi.
Was the electron in listening mode?
Do you have the proper serial drivers installed?

Electron is in listening mode and i already installed.
https://setup.particle.io/ num3 click the particle cli, show up https://docs.particle.io/reference/cli/… I follow this step.

Are you using the Particle SIM or 3rd Party?
Have you removed and reinserted the SIM (correctly) to make sure the contact is good?
Does the device go into Listening Mode immediately after power-up/reset or only after a while?

You can forget all the CLI commands that involve WiFi, since there is no WiFi module on the Cellular devices.

Actually, I don’t really know what Listening Mode is good for on the Electron apart from requestiong some info via
particle identify, particle serial inspect and particle flash --serial (or the respective one-letter serial commands via a serial terminal - i, s, f, v and m)

Im use the 3rd party, my iphone SIM.
I think that contact is good.
When i typing “particle setup wifi”, my electron is Listening Mode.
:scream:

Okay i will try it!!!
particle identify, particle serial inspect and particle flash --serial (or the respective one-letter serial commands via a serial terminal - i, s, f, v and m)

If you keep trying the WiFi commands with an Electron (which again does not have WiFi) you are just going to be stuck here forever.

Here is a direct link to the Getting Started with Electron doc page:

https://docs.particle.io/guide/getting-started/intro/electron/

which if read far enough eventually takes you here:
