How to connect this ultrasonic serial sensor (DS1603DA) to photon?

First of all: I’m a new complete beginner, so please bear with me.
I’m trying to connect the DS1603DA sensor to my photon. This sensor allows to measure the liquid level, e.g. of propane tanks. My questions are:

  1. how do I need to connect the sensor to my photon?
